In the heart of Macclesfield a strange and remarkable tale unfolds. Step into this theatrical adventure and the incredible story of the astronomer who has brought the moon and stars down to earth. But all is not well. Find out why the town is filled with stars, what has happened to put Macclesfield in such peril, and how you can help the astronomer with his quest.

La Lune: The Astronomer’s Story is an immersive experience from the award winning theatre company LAStheatre. The production, which takes place in the atmospheric setting of Christ Church, is suitable for adults and children.

Following the show, and armed with the knowledge of what’s at stake, theatre-goers get ready for their challenge outside on the lawns. Here, budding star gazers and curious explorers will be enthralled by The Observatory: a host of activities for all the family including tents filled with music, film, science and stars. This festival of activity is produced by Macclesfield’s very own Wild Rumpus.

The Astronomer’s Story is a 45 minute adventure suitable for a family audience (age 4+).

Secrets will be uncovered, friends made and lost, and we’ll face the greatest challenge of our lives. Book your tickets below for The Astronomer’s Story to secure your place on the La Lune adventure.
